Why the Planning, Environment, Land Use and Transportation Committee was Created
The PELT committee was established in September 2022 to be a voice for the Association to better represent the interests of Rosemont when communicating with our city government on infrastructure issues.
The PELT committee works to find the facts about a development or infrastructure issue – and then presents those facts clearly to the residents of Rosemont. We created this website as a starting point for residents who want to learn about issues affecting Rosemont. We also provide updates at Association meetings and through the RCA’s monthly email.
When the committee requests an action from the Alexandria City government, or recommends that Rosemont take a position on an issue, PELT proposes a resolution that is voted on by Association members.
